Danielle Diamond

Dr. Danielle Diamond grew up traveling the world as a Navy brat. After completing her undergraduate degree at University of Delaware (Newark, DE) and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University (Grafton, MA), she chose to continue “the family tradition” by entering the United States Army Veterinary Corps.

Danielle was fortunate enough to serve her country in locations both domestic and abroad, including deployments to Djibouti, Africa and Qatar. She was selected for a Small Animal Surgery residency at NC State University (Raleigh, NC) and then able to utilize her specialized training in the Veterinary Corps before deciding to hang up her boots after 14 years of active duty and pursue civilian practice.

Danielle’s time in the Army has piqued her interest in Military Working Dog medicine, but her passion still resides in helping every animal live their healthiest and best life – whether that be at “Camp Couch” or defending our freedom.

She is excited to bring her worldly knowledge to the Narragansett area and develop relationships with both local pet owners and veterinary colleagues through her work with VUCC.

When not treating the local animal population, Danielle spends most of her down time doting over her Labradors and nephews, honing her skills as an amateur adult equestrian, whipping up cookies in the kitchen, or wading into one of the many local waterways with a fly rod.
