Christie D’Andrea, DVMVeterinarian and Founder. Dr. D’Andrea is originally from the Midwest. She completed her Bachelor of Science at The University of Michigan in 2005 then moved to Boston to join a cancer research team at MIT. There, she published several papers investigating the roll of the immune system in various types of cancers before deciding to pursue her passion, veterinary medical school. She graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 and spent 6 years in private and emergency practice. Veterinary Urgent Care Center – an after hours, walk in clinic for pets – opened in February of 2017 in Quincy, MA. The community response has been overwhelmingly positive and the team is looking to expand to additional locations in 2018.

I have over two years of experience as a veterinary nurse and am trained in veterinary dentistry and anesthesia. I LOVE to travel and spend as much time out of the country as possible. Diana Rodriguez – Veterinary Nurse. Hello, hello! My name is Diana Rodriguez and I decided to make my passion into a career four years ago when I became a veterinary nurse. I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in biology at UMASS Boston and soon after will be applying to vet school! I’m also a proud fur mom of a small maltipoo, Baby Bear who comes to work with me every day. If you come visit us, you may see…or hear him lol. I also have two cats, Bam Bam and 15-year-old Rufus who is the newest adopted member of our family. I can’t forget about my beta fish, Blue. Even before it was my job, I have been helping animals in need. By now the Quincy animal control officers and local shelters know me by a first name basis. I believe all animals deserve respect, love, care and most importantly, a chance. I am so happy to have met Dr. D’Andrea and have the pleasure of working at VUCC where we practice safe handling and our first priority is genuinely the patients well-being. Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life =) !
